BIO

Tony Hoffman “THoff” is a professional BMX racer who resides in Clovis located
in the Central Valley of California.  Talented in all sports growing up he found
his passion with BMX Racing in 1996 but unfortunately his life took an
unexpected turn before returning to BMX after his departure in 2002.

Hoffmans BMX racing career started locally at Reedleyʼs “Airtime BMX” and Sangerʼs
“Apache Land”.  Not long into his racing career he would meet BMX racing legend
Randy Stumpfhauser “Stumpy” out at some local trails built by Hoffman and friends.
Hoffman rode with Stumpy on a daily basis working on all aspects of his racing and
began to make his way into the expert scene. By 2001 Hoffman was one of the top
racers in his age group riding for companies like Fox Racing, Spy Optics, Airwalk
Shoes, Herdas Hot Shots, and various BMX frame manufacturers.

Hoffman began to party at the time he left BMX racing in 2002 for a IT/Networking job in
San Diego, California that would eventually come to a short end, bringing him back to
Clovis, CA where he got heavily involved in drug sales and use of Marijuana, Oxycontin,
Heroin, Meth, Cocaine and Crack.

Jan 21, 2007 Hoffman submitted his life to God at a small church in Southeast Fresno
and was arrested for a home invasion robbery the following day. Hoffman regained purpose
in his life during his 2years spent in prison, deciding that returning to BMX as a professional
and passionately giving back to the youth was his purpose for surviving the wreckage of his past.

THoff has been sober since May 17, 2007 and has been racing BMX professionally
since paroling prison in December of 2008. Hoffman created a non-profit 501(c)3
organization called the Freewheel Project where he gives back in many ways such as
public speaking, free weekly meetings with kids from his surrounding community at the
BMX track, and has a national event initiative scheduled to launch in 2012.
